He remains interested in many areas of scientific endeavor and considers himself to be an armchair physicist (his first major in college). Gregg has worked as a chemist for most of his life.

In 1987, his career brought him to Memphis, TN where he started The River City Soap Co., a small manufacturing firm specializing in industrial detergents. It has been nice to watch it grow.

Gregg now lives in a suburb of Memphis with his wife, his teenage son, four cats, a dog, two turtles, and a guinea pig. He allows that the turtles are almost no trouble at all.
