about two Victorian-era weapons designers that are forced into enemy lands to undo an alchemic mishap. The second installment of the series, Thomas Riley~ The Aurora, is due out in 2012 (ZOVA Books). Valentino’s Weird West story, Engine 316 is included in the Dreams of Steam anthology (Kerlak Enterprises), and steampunk horror short, Bedeviled in Dreams of Steam II (Kerlak Enterprises). His story, Ten Thousand Years is a Japanese Steampunk story featured in Echelon Press’ anthology Her Majesty’s Mysterious Conveyance and his story, Double Crossed at Gray Raven Mill is included in Steampunk Tales Issue #8.

Mission

Our primary focuses are literacy and education. To that end, we have held an annual convention in Memphis, TN for over two decades hosting numerous authors, editors, scientists, and artists. We also hold a free seminar for educators and librarians, a writers' conference with workshops by award winning authors and editors, and annual student art and writing contests.

MidSouthCon is presented by Mid-South Science and Fictions Conventions Inc. a non-profit type 501(c)(3) Corporation. Donations are welcome (and are tax deductible).
