Kat Robinson

She writes Eat Arkansas, the Arkansas Times blog for food lovers - and Tie Dye Travels, a Lonely Planet affiliate blog about her journeys throughout the South. She appears regularly on KARN Newsradio and KARK News 4 at Noon. She's the 2011 recipient of the Henry Award for Media Support by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism and the 2011 Arkansas Press Association's award winner for Best Freelance Writing for a Large Daily.

Kat's work appears in Serious Eats, Arkansas Wild, Arkansas Times, Lonely Planet, and Forbes Travel Guide. She has also written for Food Network Magazine, Little Rock Family, Living in Arkansas, 2njoy, GreenZine, Sync Weekly, Emerald City of the South, Arkansas Free Press, Let's Go and Today's Man.

Mission

Our primary focuses are literacy and education. To that end, we have held an annual convention in Memphis, TN for over two decades hosting numerous authors, editors, scientists, and artists. We also hold a free seminar for educators and librarians, a writers' conference with workshops by award winning authors and editors, and annual student art and writing contests.

Non-Profit

MidSouthCon is presented by Mid-South Science and Fictions Conventions Inc. a non-profit type 501(c)(3) Corporation. Donations are welcome (and are tax deductible).
