Artists

As a child he knew he would be an artist in his professional career. His family moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1975 and upon graduating high school, he received education in commercial art from Lively Vocational Technical Center and fine art from Florida State University.

Mark has done illustrations for Cornerstone Publishing, Adamant Entertainment, Bookmarks Magazine, Flying Labs Software and White Rocket Books. Recent work includes covers for Moonstone Comics such as Kolchak: The Night Stalker Files, The Heap, the upcoming Flint series based on the 1960's spy and Danger A-Go_Go, A Flint, Honey West and Captain Action Crossover graphic novel. He has also done covers and illustrations for Little Shoppe Of Horrors Magazine, Black Coat Press, Undying Monsters, Hammer: Fantasy & Sci-Fi from Hemlock Books, Screem Magazine, HorrorHound Magazine, Mad Scientist, Philip Nutman's Cities Of Night and more. He is a Pulp Factory Award winner for his Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective cover and a Rondo Nominee.

Mark now resides in Athens, Georgia with his lovely wife, Carlyn, and two beautiful children.

Mission

Our primary focuses are literacy and education. To that end, we have held an annual convention in Memphis, TN for over two decades hosting numerous authors, editors, scientists, and artists. We also hold a free seminar for educators and librarians, a writers' conference with workshops by award winning authors and editors, and annual student art and writing contests.

Non-Profit

MidSouthCon is presented by Mid-South Science and Fictions Conventions Inc. a non-profit type 501(c)(3) Corporation. Donations are welcome (and are tax deductible).
